
Our emotional and physical health are connected. It’s been proven that if our thoughts are positive and filled with gratitude, our overall health is improved. You may notice that when you are stressed or angry, you may have gastrointestinal symptoms or a headache. These are just two examples of what can happen to our bodies under stress. I’m not suggesting that you need to go happyland when you are sad, stressed, angry, grieving, etc. I’m simply saying to take time to pause, feel your feelings, and express them. This will help release the negative energy. Whenever possible taking time to express gratitude will immediately shift your energy. Keeping a gratitude journal and taking time to start your day and/or end your day with gratitude is healthy for your overall well being. And if possible, having a daily spiritual practice (yoga, meditation,exercise, etc) is extremely beneficial for your mind and body.
